                              We’re seeking heartfelt, character-driven stories that reflect real life—friendship, growth, family, hope, and courage—with a focus on emotional depth and authenticity.

📖 Genres: Contemporary Realistic Fiction (MG & YA)

When Submissions Open...

Literary Leaf Press will be seeking manuscripts for the following imprints:

​

• Littleleaf: Picture Books (Ages 3–7)

• Wildleaf: Middle Grade Books (Ages 8–12)

• Everleaf: Young Adult Books (Ages 13–18)

We’re drawn to stories that begin with heart and grow into something unforgettable—books filled with warmth, purpose, and emotional depth. Whether it’s a whimsical picture book that delights, a bold middle-grade adventure rooted in curiosity, or a young adult novel rich in honesty and growth, we’re passionate about stories that stay with readers long after the last page.

• Beautiful, intentional writing

• Fresh perspectives and timeless truths

What to Prepare

​

Once submissions open, you’ll be asked to include:

​

• A query letter with a brief synopsis and intended age group

• A short author biography

• The full manuscript for picture books or the first three chapters for middle grade and young adult fiction

• All materials should follow standard industry formatting: double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, with one-inch margins

No AI Evaluation or Screening

Literary Leaf Press does not use artificial intelligence (AI) tools, software, or automated systems to review, screen, evaluate, summarize, analyze, or make decisions about submissions. All manuscripts, proposals, and query materials are reviewed by human readers—editors and publishing professionals—using their expertise, judgment, and care.

 

Human-Centered Review

Every submission is considered on its own merits. Editorial decisions are made through thoughtful, manual review processes that respect the author’s voice, originality, and intent.

Confidentiality and Respect

We do not upload, process, or expose submitted materials to third-party AI systems. Your work remains confidential and is handled with professionalism and respect throughout the review process.
