Kyria McKie is a UK-based illustrator who has been drawing ever since she could hold a pen, often filling pages with sketches when she was meant to be doing her homework. She is inspired by art, nostalgic children’s stories, and old books that carry a certain kind of magic within their pages.
Her work is shaped by the honesty and innocence found in the stories of our childhood. Through her illustrations, she aims to create worlds that feel timeless and familiar, gently inviting readers of all ages to step inside and rediscover that sense of wonder for themselves.
Lakshima Dilrukshi Rathnayaka
Lakshima Dilrukshi Rathnayaka is a Sri Lankan children’s book illustrator based in Scotland. She loves creating gentle, whimsical illustrations that celebrate kindness, imagination, and the wonder of childhood.
Inspired by nature and everyday moments, she brings heartfelt stories to life through expressive characters and vibrant scenes. Her goal is to create picture books that spark joy, encourage empathy, and become cherished keepsakes for young readers.
